Al Sharif developed an integrated port-to-site logistics solution for the movement of heavy and oversized equipment required for the Al Dur IWPP Phase II project.

Cargo was received and handled at the port using suitable heavy-lift equipment before being positioned on specialised modular trailers. Where direct road transportation was restricted or operationally unsuitable, the loaded trailers were moved onto barges through controlled roll-on operations.

The cargo was transported by sea to the designated landing location, rolled off the barge and subsequently transported to the project site using multi-axle trailers and heavy-duty prime movers.

Detailed engineering studies, route surveys, load-distribution calculations, marine planning and cargo-securing procedures were implemented for each movement. Dedicated project teams coordinated the port, marine and land-transport activities to maintain safe and efficient operations throughout the project period.
